REVIEW: Bite Me (The Transfigured Series) by Michelle Roth #PNR #EroticRomance

Magnus Corbett is the world renowned head chef for Usquebaugh, the wildly popular restaurant and whiskey bar inside the Foxwood Hotel and Casino. He's certain that it was his status as one of the Transfigured that put him on the map. It will be bold flavors and his tireless work ethic that keep him there. And, if he has to be a little blunt to get things done? So be it.
When bar manager, Caroline Lundquist, develops a line of cocktails to breathe some life into the drink menu, she's determined to have new gin-inspired dishes to pair with them. During their collaboration she finds herself falling for the side of Magnus that people rarely see. He's sweet. Compassionate. Caring. As they begin to navigate the perils of a vampire-human relationship, both of their pasts crop up, threatening to destroy everything they're working so hard to build together.

RATING: 5 Stars - Top Pick!

Bite Me is a sinfully decadent bite that will have you drooling for more. Magnus and Caroline are two sexy spitfires that combust when they come together. This story by Michelle Roth had it all-passion, a good dose of naughtiness, romantic comedy, a fang boy to die for, a heroine that is far from being a damsel, and an informative look at what pairs well with Gin. I loved this book and I have read it twice. I can't wait for the next book in her Transfigured Series. LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!

REVIEW:
RATING: 4 Stars

Moira and Ronan are sizzling hot in "Trouble Walked In" by Michelle Roth. From the first chapter I was obsessed with the book. I simply had to read it non stop. So far with all of Michelle Roth's books, I have ended up reading them more than once or twice. This book is no different. Her take on shape shifters in this book was done really well and wasn't cliche or "overdone". Her love scenes are hot yet tastefully filled with passion and seduces the reader to keep reading. I can't wait to read the next one.

REVIEW: Rise of the Lost Prince by London Saint James

Lost Boys, 1
They fight to protect those who would never welcome them into the human world...
Petúr always knew he and his brothers-in-arms were different. Something more. Something not human. Yet, he never expected to find out the truth of their origins, nor fall for a human woman whose father was set to destroy Neverland.
Ever since she was a child, Wyndi dreamed of an angel with eyes of the purest gold, although she never really believed such a man existed until she met the hauntingly beautiful Petúr of the lost boys.
With a prophecy to fulfill, a woman to protect, a portal to find, and evil darklings out for blood, will Petúr be strong enough to rise up and claim what’s rightfully his, or lose everything to a long-time nemesis, Grapple the Dark?

RATING: 4.5 Stars

Get ready and hold on tight because you're getting ready to go on one heck of an adventure ride. This is not Disney's "Peter Pan" but a steamy, passionate, and adventure story for adults. J.M. Barrie would have never imagined "Rise of the Lost Prince" when he wrote his children's book. "Rise of the Lost Prince" had me absorbed and obsessed through each page. I literally could not put it down because the story captivated me right from the prologue on through to the end. I can literally not wait until I can get a hold of the next book from London Saint James. She has scored an epic Babe Ruth kind of home run with "Rise of the Lost Prince". This is a must read with an URGENT MUST READ attached to it. LOOOVED this book!

REVIEW:

RATING:   4 Stars

Maximus and Priscilla Blackwood have been married for close to 13 years, and then Cilla decided she just couldn’t take it anymore.  Max is once again working longer than he should, making her feel like he didn’t want to spend any time with her, so she drives herself up to their very isolated cabin in the mountains, leaving a letter for Max to find when he finally gets home, telling him she planned to file for divorce.  When Max finds the letter, he just can’t figure out what his wife’s problem is.  He works so hard and so long to be able to give her everything she needs, and as a result, they have what he thinks is a great life, even if they haven’t been able to have any children yet.

So, what is missing in this relationship?  It isn’t love, and it quite certainly isn’t sexual attraction.  One word: communication.  This couple has never learned how to truly talk to each other, and as a result, there are so many important things they each assume, incorrectly, that the other already knows.  This is the core of Nicole Morgan’s short but passionate love story, ‘Remind Me’.  When Max figures out where his wife must have gone, he drives up to the cabin in the middle of a blizzard, comes close to being killed when a tree falls on his car, and then the two of them, husband and wife, are stranded together in this small, almost primitive cabin.  In this situation, there really is very little they can do – so eventually, they start to talk.  To really, truly, communicate with each other, not only physically, but verbally.

No, this is not a completely original or unique plotline, but in a story like this, it is the characters and their interactions that make everything fit together in an original manner.  Morgan has built a solid, believable, foundation here, wrapped around elements of personality, childhood experience, social background, self-image, and simple misunderstanding, to pull her readers into a desperate relationship: two people who know they are in love, but still need to figure out to build a life they can share.

‘Remind Me’ is a pleasant story, and I enjoyed reading it.  Morgan put things together carefully, so despite the shortness of the story, you are not truly sure what Max and Cilla will decide to do, until you reach the end, and yet everything is believable.  It took skill to accomplish this is in so few pages. I highly recommend this story to fans of erotic true romance, and give it 4 stars.

I am very grateful for the reviewer’s copy I was given.

REVIEW: Bitten by Darkness

Sienna knows she's different, knows she's missing some essential part of her soul, and she's okay with that until she encounters Jasper. Unfortunately, meeting the love of her life for the first time while he's standing over her wounded best friend in the middle of the woods isn't the most auspicious beginning.

Jasper is dangerous. Alluring. Everything she should fear, especially when she discovers he's out for revenge against the vampire who murdered his brother. Her mother warned Sienna to stay far away from the monsters, but how can she let Jasper face them on his own?

Revenant, vampire, slave—darkness is coming for them. Will evil consume Jasper and Sienna, or will love prevail?

REVIEW:

RATING:  3 Stars

Bitten by Darkness tweaked my interest with its title however it failed to capture me by the end of the third chapter. It is quite a short story. It has all the promise of a great book and I wanted to love it but it just falls short on hooking a reader in. It was not unpleasant reading but I found myself getting bored with it. The story is there, but it needs more development.
